Taking antibiotics is a necessary fact of life, sometimes. And antibiotics are incredibly useful, of course. They eradicate a lot of illnesses that might be dangerous or even fatal. However, for women, many times antibiotics have an unintended side effect. A yeast infection. For some women, antibiotics and yeast infections are forever linked.
Yeast infections are caused by too much candida – a horrible little fungus that also causes thrush and vaginitis. Yeast infections aren’t fatal by any means, but they can be uncomfortable and embarrassing. We definitely want to avoid them, if possible, and – if we can’t – then cure them as quickly as we possibly can.
There are many “cures” and bits of advice floating around the internet about how to cure or avoid yeast infections. some people say to eat plain yogurt. Some say that’s silly. Some say to douche with hydrogen peroxide. Some say that doing that can actually GIVE you a yeast infection. Some say conventional medicines you can buy in the drugstore are sufficient. Some say these actually exacerbate the problem. Some say to apply this, or drink this, or do this or that…it’s so confusing!
As you can tell, some of the bits of advice out there on the net are reliable. Some of them are dodgy. The worst of them are actually dangerous.
But how can you know which is which? When all you want to do is get rid of the itching and burning and get back to your normal life, how do you take the time or have the know how to differentiate the bad information from the good? It’s not easy.
However, it can be done. If you want to never again have to say the words – “I Am Taking Antibiotics and Now I Have a Yeast Infection“, then click on those words or head on over to http://vovvar.net and search for “Yeast Infection.” Help is on the way!
